Weird Tales, July 1934. Cover story: "The Trail of the Cloven Hoof" by Arlton Eadie. Cover art by Margaret Brundage. This cover may be unique among all the covers of Weird Tales published from 1923 to 1954. It shows a man, a woman, and a creature that is not a man, but is also not an animal or a monster. Also, the creature--a kind of deer centaur--does not threaten the man or the woman but is actually helping them. I'll leave space for any addition I might find to this category, but I don't think I'll need it.
